Start a Regional Chapter in Your Area

Don't see a chapter near you? This is your opportunity to lead.

 

Launching a chapter is a powerful way to serve, build community, and leave your mark. Here's how to get started:

 

Step 1: Express Your Interest

 

  • Contact the Office of Alumni Affairs to schedule an interest meeting. We recommend identifying at least one additional alum who is ready to help lead.

Step 2: Explore the Opportunity

 

During the interest meeting, we'll:

  • Review alumni presence in your region

  • Discuss expectations and sustainability

  • Outline leadership responsibilities

 

Step 3: Build the Foundation

 

If approved, chapter leaders will:

  • Develop chapter bylaws

  • Define a mission and goals

  • Establish a leadership structure

 

Step 4: Plan a Powerful Launch

 

With support from Alumni Affairs, you'll:

  • Plan and host a launch event (typically requiring at least 8 weeks of preparation)

  • Recruit additional volunteers and officers

  • Build excitement and engagement in your region

 

Step 5: Lead with Consistency

 

After launch, chapter leaders maintain a vibrant presence through:

  • Regular meetings

  • Formal and informal events

  • Active support of Admissions, Athletics, and Advancement initiatives

  • Once all requirements are fulfilled, your group will receive an official Chapter Charter.
